“Search engine marketing, or SEM, is a form of Internet marketing that seeks to promote websites by increasing their visibility in the search engine results pages”. Search engine optimization (SEO) is based on strategies to improve a search engine ranking. SEO usually means making changes to a Web site’s design elements and content, and in most cases it costs nothing at all. SEM is not just search engine optimization; SEM includes pay-per-click (PPC) strategies. SEM is doing what needs to be done to ensure that a Web site ranks as high as possible in search engine results and to bring more people to that Web site.
